Touch is one of the most important senses God has given us. Just as He continues to touch our lives with the gift of Jesus, we are to award the same grace of touch with the people we encounter each day, especially our loved ones. I think the author is saying to touch others with our kindness, compassion, and care just as God has touched us in the same way. I am grateful He gave us this sense so we can nurture, mend, and love those around us not just during the holiday season but throughout the year.
