Have you ever seen something that you know someone else will absolutely LOVE. Those are the kinds of gifts I love to give. But being able to find a gift so special requires you to really KNOW someone. The author talks about repairing a relationship this holiday. What about actually Developing a deep relationship with someone - it might be a family member that you should know but don't ( when was the last time you just bought a gift card because you had no idea what to get for someone as a gift ). On page 67 the author says " your heavenly Father knows what you need and wants to give it to you". If we are made in his image, then we should strive to know each other like He knows us. How different would our lives be then?
