Day 15 -Good Sense or Extravagance?

Welcome!

Today we are reading Day 15 of our Thomas Kinkade book, "Christ the Light of the World", which can be found on page 61.

Our Bible Verse is:

From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.

Joel 1:16

What is the author saying to YOU today?

  1. Wow! I wish I could give my family "extravagant experiences"! (pg 62) Well, I really don't have to because the extravagance is all around us. Just look at the twinkling lights, the decorations in the windows, the sparkles and spangles on clothing. My 4 year old grand-daughter found "twinkling stars" in the creek that runs beside Brookwood Mall the other night and was delighted at the vision!

  2. As a child Christmas was an extravagant time in our house. My father became I'll when I was 4 and times we "tight". But when it came to Christmas it was always a magical time with presents under the tree. I KNOW we didn't get there with credit cards because my parents didn't use them, but there were always presents - mostly clothes under the tree on Christmas morning ( I only got clothes on Christmas and birthday) . It was mostly the attitude displayed but my parents - an attitude of excitement of what we would find under the tree and all the decorating and anticipation that made Christmas special.
