Day 22 - Walking in Darkness

Good Morning and welcome to week 4 of our On-Line Christmas Devotional.
Today is Day 22 – Walking in Darkness. Our readings can be found on page 89 of the Thomas Kinkade Devotional.
Today’s Bible Verse:
The people who walked in darkness
Have seen great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death,
Upon them a light has shined.

Isaiah 9:2
These are indeed the shortest days of the year and darkness falls before many of us get home from work. We would love to hear your thoughts.

  1. How appropriate this lesson falls on December 22-the shortest day of the year! As an architect, I have studied the patterns of the sun - the winter solstice is well understood and expected. But still the darkness takes an emotional toll. I like the way Kincade uses his "dark walk home" as a metaphor for confusion, despair, and our experience of sin and evil; and the lights of his decorated home for hope, guidance and the vision of beauty and love that awaits us when we arrive.
